Founded in 1991, Etron is a professional fabless IC design and maufacturing company. The company is headquartered in Hsinchu, Taiwan with sales offices in Taipei and USA. The company pioneered Taiwan's "National Sub-micron Project" which built a solid foundation for the DRAM and SRAM industries in Taiwan. Through years of efforts, Etron has received "Industrial Technology Advancement Award" from the Economic Affairs Ministry in 1999 and the annual "Best Innovative Product Awards" from the Hsinchu Science Park consecutively through 2001 to 2003. Etron is specialized in Known-Good-Die Memory (KGDM), Specialty DRAM and SRAM where include DDRII DRAM, wide-bandwidth DDR DRAM, enduring SDRAM, low power DDR DRAM, low power SDRAM, mobile DDR DRAM, mobile SDRAM and very low power pseudo SRAM. The products are widely used in various emerging applications, such as storage device, display, handset, PDA, and multimedia device.
